       中心简介
   清华大学出土文献研究与保护中心成立于2008年9月,是一个将出土文献的研究与保护工作合而为一的校级科研机构。中心由清华大学历史系与图书馆、化学系等单位共建,首任主任为著名历史学家、古文字学家李学勤先生,著名古文字学家赵平安教授担任中心常务副主任。现任中心主任为著名文字学家、语言学家黄德宽教授,刘国忠教授、蔡文鹏副教授担任中心副主任。中心的工作目标是:通过开展自然科学与人文科学的交叉性和合作性研究,深入探讨出土文献整理、研究与保护工作的前沿课题,把本中心建设成为具有世界领先水平的出土文献研究和保护中心。当前中心的主要研究内容是对清华大学抢救入藏的战国竹简进行保护、整理与研究,同时开展其他出土文献(如甲骨文、金文)的研究和保护工作。中心自成立以来,已经取得了众多的成果,特别是在清华简的整理、研究与保护方面所做的工作受到了广泛的关注。
   2008年7月,清华大学从境外抢救入藏了一批战国时期的竹简。经检测,这批竹简总共约有2500枚,其抄写时代约为公元前305年左右,其中有《尚书》和类似于《纪年》一类的先秦珍贵经、史典籍,是一批珍贵的国宝。目前,清华简的系列整理报告正在陆续整理出版之中。
   目前中心有十多位科研人员,其中包括黄德宽、李均明、赵桂芳、彭林、沈建华、廖名春、赵平安、李守奎、侯旭东、刘国忠等多位有影响的专家。他们长期从事甲骨、金文、简帛等出土文献的整理、研究与保护工作,积累了丰富的经验。
   在清华大学的大力支持下,清华大学出土文献研究与保护中心已得到教育部重大攻关项目、国家社科基金重大项目、国家科技支撑计划项目等国家和多个部委的项目支持。2011年,以本中心为主建立的“出土文献与中国古代文明研究中心”已获批为教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地。几年来,本中心与国内高校及文博单位展开了多方面的合作研究,并与海外的相关研究机构进行了积极的对话与交流,是国内外出土文献及古代文明研究的重镇。
   目前,为响应教育部“2011计划”,中心联合国内11家兄弟单位积极进行“出土文献与中国古代文明研究”协同创新中心的组织筹建工作,该中心的成立必将成为中国出土文献学科发展的重要里程碑。
 
 
 
Research and Conservation Center for Excavated Texts, Tsinghua University
 
Research and Conservation Center for Excavated Texts, Tsinghua University was co-founded by the Department of History, the University Library and the Department of Chemistry in September, 2008. Reporting directly to the University President, the Director of the Center is Professor Li Xueqin, the foremost historian and paleographer, the Deputy Director is Professor Huang Dekuan, and the Assistant Director is Professor Liu Guozhong. The objective of the Center is to establish a leading research and conservation center in the world for excavated Chinese texts through conducting cutting-edge research projects in the field and through interdisciplinary studies and collaborations of natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Currently the Center is working on conservation and researches on excavated texts, such as oracle bone and bronze inscriptions, with a focus on the conservation, transcription and editing of the Warring States period (476 – 221 B.C.E.) Tsinghua bamboo slips. It has made considerable achievements since the founding of the Center. Its work in the transcription, research and conservation of the Tsinghua bamboo slips in particular has received extensive national and international attention.
 
The Tsinghua bamboo slips were rescued from overseas antique market in July, 2008. There are about 2,500 complete and broken bamboo slips in total. The bamboo slips are dated 305 B.C.E. according to radiocarbon dating test. They include precious pre-Qin classics and historic texts such as Shangshu and Xinian, and are considered national treasure. These texts are currently being edited and published in multi-volume series reports.
 
Over 10 scholars are in the research team, including influential experts in the field such as professors Li Xueqin,Huang Dekuan, Zhao Pin’an, Li Junming, Liao Mingchun, Peng Lin, Zhao Guifang, Li Shoukui, Shen Jianhua and Liu Guozhong. They bring to the Center decades of experiences in the study and conservation of excavated texts, including, but not limited to, the texts inscribed on oracle bones, bronzes, bamboo and wood slips, and silk.
 
With the strong support from Tsinghua University, the Center is currently conducting several major national research projects sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the National Foundation for Social Sciences, and the National Key Technology R&D Program, etc. The Center is the main constituent of the Research Center for Excavated Texts and Ancient Chinese Civilization, Tsinghua University, which was approved as a Ministry of Education Key Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2011. In recent years, The Center has embarked on a number of collaborative research projects with other universities, archaeological institutions and museums in China. In addition, it is actively engaged in international scholarly exchanges with related institutions oversea. The Research and Conservation Center for Excavated Texts at Tsinghua University is the world foremost research institute in the field of excavated texts and ancient Chinese civilization.
 
Currently, in response to the “2011 Plan” of the Ministry of Education, the Center is founding a Collaborative Innovation Center of “Excavated Documents and Chinese Ancient Civilization research” with the other 11 units. It will be the milestone of the Excavated Documents research.
